Video game development training.

To start a career as a Unity developer, you need not only to master the language and system, but also to have practical skills.
Start with simple 2D games like Tetris or flappy bird. Simple games are easier to implement alone, but they give you the skills to work with basic functions: loading scenes, creating a user interface, working with resources. Then you can move on to 3D games. Here, too, it is better to start with a simple one, gradually introducing new functions and changing the architecture of the game.
A novice developer working in a team managed by more experienced colleagues. Junior is most often assigned simple, uncritical tasks. At this level, an employee usually lasts 1-1.5 years, after which he is promoted to Middle. A Junior Game Developer must have the following competencies:
  • have a good knowledge of C#;
  • have experience developing in Unity, the portfolio should not be empty;
  • basic knowledge in linear algebra (example);
  • basic knowledge in 3D modeling.
An experienced specialist who is able to perform all the assigned work. Solves both critical and routine tasks. Has sufficient qualifications to manage juniors. All the basic Unity tools and technologies should be known to the middle developer. Many have been working at the middle level for years and decades. To become a seigneur, it takes great and purposeful efforts.
A programmer with the highest qualifications. It can perform any task within its set of technologies. The seniors have vast experience, a broad outlook, and often excellent management skills. It takes 6 to 8 years to grow from junior to senior.
